When it comes about the expedition over 7,000 m high, Mt. Himlung allows you to stand at an elevation of 7,126 m /23,380 ft offering panorama and majestic views of high massif Himalaya of western Nepal from its summit.
Mt. Himlung, located northeast of Annapurna region, this region was opened in 1992 by Nepal Government, before it was a restricted region. Despite of its location in the remote corner of Nepal near Tibet border, this trip offers stunning scenery with traditional villages leading to the popular Annapurna circuit route and then off the main trail on the less trekked area to Nar-Phu region. This region is untouched by the modernity and very few trekkers have explored this region, a great opportunity to explore the traditional Tibetan cultures and the lifestyle of mountain people of remote Nepal. This trip begins from lower Marshyangdi river valley, with views of Gompas and unique cultural settlements. Trekking through evergreen forests and several villages at the higher altitude finally takes to the Phu valley and the base camp for Himlung climb at 4,900 m / 16,076 ft; and start preparation for the expedition. After Base Camp setting three more camps above to reach the summit, Advance Base Camp at 5,450 m /17,880 ft, Camp 1 at 6,000 m /19,685 ft) and Camp II at 6,350 m /(20,833 ft.
